Strawberry Sadies – Cookies
Because you can’t get much better than strawberries rolled in sugar
A recipe taken from the magazine Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee 2010
1/2 cup sugar1 box strawberry cake mix
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 large egg

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. In a
shallow bowl, place sugar.
2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, flour, water, butter, and egg; beat at low sped with an electric
mixer until well blended. Using hands, shape heaping teaspoons of dough into balls; roll in sugar
to coat. Place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets, and pat gently to flatten.
3. Bake for 12 to 14 minute, or until set. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; then move to wire
racks to finish cooling completely (about 15 minutes).
